Reflux and Mylanta Ultimate?

I have already posted about my IBS, but now I have a question about my reflux GERD. I have severe reflux. I take 40 mg of prilosec in the morning and 150 mg of zantac in the evening. I used to take reglan twice a day but started developing twitches in my hands and feet so my dr took me off of it.
I frequently have breakthrough reflux. I know that certain foods set me off (acids and fats), but sometimes I get the reflux when I eat "safe" foods.
I had a Plicator Procedure this past June. To be honest, I think it made me worse because now I have trapped gas problems. Also some things I used to be able to eat now make me sick. For example, I used to drink decaf coffee without a problem. Now I can only drink low acid decaf coffee. I also can no longer drink apple cider. My GE wants me to consider a fundoplication, but I'm nervous about it since the Plicator Procedure seemed to worsen my symtoms.
My GE told me to not take anything like Tums because it will affect the absorption of my other meds. But now I'm seeing ads for Mylanta Ultimate. The ads say that it's for breakthrough reflux for people on prescipiton meds. I see my GE in January, but was thinking about buying some now to have in the house. I was wondering if any of you have used it and how it works. TIA.

I have not had the need to try it, so cannot comment on how well it might work for you. Can you call and discuss using it over the phone? Having to wait until your appointment in January is too long of a wait!
