I suffer from fructose malaborption, referred to medically as DFI (Dietary Fructose Intolerance). It means the body does not make the enzyme to digest fructose, a sugar. Fructose is found in most all packaged bake goods and prepackaged mixes. It occurs in all fruit. Suffers have to develop a personal diet, since each person's tolerance is different. Looking for other suffers to share ideas, recipes, alternatives to beet sugar recipes, chocolate problems etc. I'm still quite confused by all I have read. Hoping others have information and the sharing will help us all. (For those who dont know what this disease entails--its lots of stomach and intestinal gas, both belching and the other end, diarrhea, cramping. Because the stomach is full of air, bloating and discomfort are continuous. ) I've improved significantly with diet improvements but still hope to fine tune it even more.

Welcome and I hope we can find some others to share recipes and ideas with. I am not familiar with this, but will be looking into it, since I do have many stomach issues.
