I am the typical gastric wreck. I have IBS and chronic gastritis. The GI doc has put me on pamine 2 x daily. Mid day and night. The mid day makes me extremely sleepy. I mentioned this on a follow up woth the GP, she said to half the midday. I have and am still extremely sleepy. Has anyone used this drug and how did you combat the fatigue?

Other question, I have been going through all of the testing for the digestive disorder. What point will the docs test for any female issues? I worry about possible female issues being written off to the digestive disorder.. I have brought it up several times-could this be reproductive issues? I am in late 40's. Have had minor issues with gyn issues.
I had a freind years ago going through the same issues, and the ovarian cancer wasn't checked until too late..

Welcome Anette, sorry I am so late in replying!

Are you taking any other drugs that may be interacting with the Pamine? A combination of meds may cause the excess fatigue. You'l need to discuss this with your doctor and/or pharmacist, to see if different meds, or taking them at different times can help.

Your gastro docs won't test for female issues. They focus on what they 'know' and treat. Ovarian issues can have similar symptoms and I would suggest getting copies of all test results and getting in to see your gyne doc.

I feel your pain!!!! I have chronic gastritis too, and IBS. But I take 2 Nexiums per day and Liq Carafate...also something at night for the IBS that makes me really sleepy. Also 1/2 of Elavil at bedtime, helps with pain, so they say. Never had one single tummy prob before age 42...had a baby at 40...have a controlling husband...I do the best I can. I've really had a rocky time, but I try my best to sleep as much as possible (ha ha) drink water, decaf green tea with honey, try not to eat the foods I adore like hot sauce, but it's weird...sometimes, it does not faze me....others, whooooah, it's horrible...i just never know! my tummy is bipolar, as the world turns.

I've tried Traditional Medicninals "organic chamomile with lavender) eases tension, stress and nervous stomach...IT HELPS AND IF IT HELPS ME IT WILL HELP ANYONE!

TAKE CARE!
