Checking to see if I am just crazy. I have a problem with my throat. I feel as if I have swallowed a golf ball. It moves up and down in my esophagus area. Sometimes it feels I have a knife stuck in my chest. I have been to the doctor and had a light run down my throat and doctor says all looks ok and has me on a strong acid reducer. I am just scared it may be something else. The description of GERD and other digestive disorders don't really narrow this problem down to one thing. Any suggestions

Welcome, I apologize for not replying faster. Life happened and I was not able to be here!
Have you seen any doctor other than your primary/general physician? Here is an article that mentions the types of doctors that might be helpful, plus some info about swallowing problems. Please do not

<You could have what I have..hiatus hernia. A light down the throat is not enough. You need to either have an upper xray where you drink this fizzy stuff and they look at your upper tract, or go have an endoscopy which you are knocked out for and takes like 5 minutes. Those tests and tell what is really going on, now the light down the throat.
Good luck. I know that feeling and I hate it. Prevacid helps me.

Thanks for responding Corky21, but you didn't change who the reply was to, so it went to me!
Hopefully the other poster has checked back and will read your suggestions.
