Gallbladder Scar?

I had my gallbladder removed 6weeks postpartum (in june '06) and the scar is HORRIBLE, ugly and still itchy.  Just wondering if that's normal.  It's dark pink, raised and very hard.

Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions ; )

Adorable baby Linda, congrats!

You are about 6 months post-op and it will take a while longer, before the scar recedes and is less obvious. Have you tried any of those new scar creams that are available? Even using extra lotion, or breaking open a vitamin E capsule and rubbing the contents over the scar may help. If it is really itchy and bothersome, you might want to inquire at your next Dr. appointment if the scar looks OK to him/her.

Honestly, it hasn't been all that long, but you are probably thinking about skimpier warm weather clothes?
