surgery done yesterday

Hello everyone,
Thank you all again for your preoperative suggestions; its really calmed me down! I had my surgery done yesterday 1/12 and the pain is much less than what I expected. Certainly, it is there and even sitting down hurts a little bit, but I am happy that it is over. I would like to find out the best diet post surgery. I know to stay away from fatty foods and yesterday I only had liquids. My mom is making chicken soup for later, but I do not know if dairy products (milk and yogurt) are OK to eat. Thank you all again and to anyone who is about to have this surgery done, do not be scared. I hardly felt any pain yesterday and today it just feels like someone beat me up a little, not that I would not how that would feel, but imagination works well. :) Oh, also before getting my surgery done, I mentioned to the anesthesiologist (sp) that I am an opera singer (which I am) and he was incredible in that he did not put a tube down my throuat but used some sort of other device, I think a mask that sat on my vocal folds and not inside. It was great because I now can speak and do not think tha I have any vocal damage at all. So, just to let any of you who needs it that the option is out there. Thank you again everyone!

Sending you bunches of healing hugs!
Did your Dr. give you any suggestions about foods to eat? Of course it is helpful to eat healthy in general, but I am not familiar with any specific 'diet' for post surgery.
