I wish I had some definitive answers for you Barr, but think you need to see and speak with your doctor about this continuing pain. Here is some info that might be helpful, but there are many possible causes for abdominal pain...

did they give you a barium test or coloscopy I had both done and they found diverticulitis in my sigmoid and transverse colon They did a colon resection one year ago Pain dissapeared except when i have a bowel movement but very mild recovery before you can go back to work is 7 weeks Colonoscopy is best test they put you under and only discomfort is medicne taken before test it tastes horrible and a little gas after test and surgeon gives you results right after test if you don,y have bad case of diverticulitis they will give you antibiotics but they should already know this if they did blood work 50% of population gets this by age of 60 usually gets this and know it except for 10% I am that 10% but i am 95% pain free now I don,t why they would not check this considering only thing in that area of abdomen is sigmoid colon or bladder close by other possibility is hernia symptoms difficult bowel movements bloating feeling temp fix metumucil lots of water might help depending on degree diverticulitis email me if you need more info
