upper abdominal pain

Hello everyone. I had my gallbladder out about 5 years ago and I still have attack like symptoms. The pain is in the upper abdomin and radiates to the back. I usually have the attacks in the early morning like right before i'm to get up, but have had some during the day. Sometimes i'll go days without one but then I have them day's in a row. The thing is though, if I force myself to burp or pass gas it helps. Sometimes when I feel one coming on i'll drink a soda real fast or something that will make me burp so it will take the pain away. Any ideas?????

Welcome, hope I can direct you to some answers. When did you last see your Dr. and what did he/she recommend for this pain?
Here is some info that might be helpful, although your doctor should be aware of your discomfort too!
