hi....sorry to bother the list with one more question-i started aciphex monday for GERD, and, is it possible it would make me worse? I should also mention i am under tremendous stress normally, and it has been compounded by the fact i had to put one of my kitties to sleep thia am.
The fact that I feel worse is making me think I may have something really serious (like cancer). I will give it the 10 days the dr advised, but may call if this doesn't imoprove. Id appreciate any insight, but I know you guys aren't dr's! Thanks so much

I'm so sorry about your kitty, that certainly isn't helping your stress level!

If you feel much worse, call the doctor tomorrow, since it will be Friday and there may be no point in taking the medication and feeling worse throughout the weekend too.

Thanks again Elise...i find that if I can manage my stress, my symptoms can all but vanish. However, I was hoping, (and maybe this sounds crazy) but if anyone had any experience with the symptoms of stomach cancer. I am not at risk, but, it's so unnerving having this condition most of the time. I am a recent small business owener too, requiring me to work 12 hour days, so I am just so wiped out, not to mention losing my kitty yesterday. *sigh*. THanks for listening.....
Thanks again!
happy friday

You definitely have good reason for the added stress (your own business, kitty), but worrying about something like stomach cancer might be too much. Here is some info that I've found for you, even though it is unlikely...

Enjoy the weekend and try to not dwell on the 'what ifs'.

thanks Elise...yea, probably too much-i certainly don't fit the "profile"-im a 40 yo female, never smoked, dont drink, slender and eat primarily a vegetarian diet with some fish. Thanks for the support, I appreciate it. I am going to try and relax, and see if the aciphex will help. I'll givr it the 10 days the MD siad it takes to work, and if not, i'll call them.
Thanks again, have a great weekend!
