Tummy trouble every day/every meal

I was diagnosed with IBS after a colonscopy and endoscope showed no signs of any other problems or parasites. However, I'm medication and after a week or two of being on it, it doesn't work anymore. I have foul smelling gas, bloating and pain after every single meal, it doesn't even matter what I eat. I've seen a nutritionist and she doesn't see any pattern in it either. I'm so incredibly embarassed, my stomach churns after every meal and I hide away in my office so nobody is near the majority of the afternoon. I go back and forth between loose stool and constipation, my intestines sometimes feel like they are going to explode through my skin. I don't know what to do, I've seen all the doctors in the world, none of them know what to do, they all blame it on IBS but i refuse to believe that I have IBS after every single thing I eat, the reaction is way too severe. I lost alot of hair, alot of weight and energy and diagnosed with depression through all of this and I'm all out of solutions but I can't live like this anymore! I have a hunch its something more and if anyone could provide any clues...I would greatly appreciate it.

Your symptoms immediately had me thinking that you may be lactose intolerant. Even the medication you are taking can contain lactose fillers; call and ask your pharmacist to check the ingredients.

Start a food journal and see what foods cause the worst symptoms. Eliminate foods slowly and only reintroduce them one at a time, to see if you can pinpoint the culprits. Dairy products aren't all triggers, but you can certainly buy lactose free milk and take a lactose enzyme, to see if that helps too.

That is a good thought but I gave up all diary products about two years ago...so lactose intolerance isn't the issue. I only drink soymilk, rarely eat cheese and yogurt doesn't cause me any problems that I notice and I track all my eating on the usda mypyramid tracking system.

The symptoms seem to be worse when I exercise or when I'm hungry if that helps. I'm hyperglycemic and they don't think I have diabetes...but my physical symptoms include (in addition to the tummy aches and gas...I've been having night sweats, frequent urination, hair loss, very cold all the time, losing circulation in my fingers, bad circulation, inconsistent bowel movements, fatigue, insomnia...and I'm sure there's more but I don't want to overwhelm you...which I probably already have!
I've been tested for everything in the book...with no signs of any solution...

I exercise everyday and I'm an avid skier...but lately my body seems to be weaker and I want to be strong while skiing...thats how you hurt yourself!
