Constantly feel sick

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has had similar symtoms to mine. For months I have a lot of problems with my stomach. I never get really sick, but I feel nauseous a lot of the time. I saw my doctor, and she did not give me much time and said it was probably IBS. I feel like she was just guessing and didn't really care.

My pain is usually on the upper left side of my abdomen, but sometimes it's on the right too. I also feel very tired and sometimes dizzy. I have to force myself to eat most of the time.

I have been stressed out from work, so I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. I'm sick of feeling like this, though. I just want to be myself again!

Has anyone else ever felt this way??

Thanks!

Hi.....I have had this same problem for about 6 weeks now, my Dr. thought it might be my gallbladder, but when most of the upper right quadrant pain got better, I canceled my ultra sound--dumb. I'm curious too, because this is horrible. I can't eat as well, constant nausea, etc.

Have you considered rescheduling the ultra sound? Gall Bladder attacks can ebb and flow, so it may just be a matter of time before you are in tremendous pain again. Wouldn't it be better to be tested while you can lie still and not be writhing in pain? Plus, aren't you curious as to what is causing you to not be able to eat, the nausea, etc.? Just a thought!

Hi - I feel EXACTLY the same way! I am so frustrated because I have no idea what it is. I have been to my Doctor, and we have done lots of tests:

1- Urea Breth Test (testing for bacteria that could cause peptic ulser) NEG
2- Abdominal ultrasound (check for gallstones, bile ducts, liver, kidney) NEG
3- X-rays of heart/lungs NEG

He has since sent me to a gastro... specialist. I have an appt. Monday. I have been feeling this way for 27 days straight! I feel like I am goind crazy beause nothing seems to help. Here are my symptoms:

nausea (upper stomach)
pain under my right breast through my back, between my shoulder blades
sometimes dizzy
bloating
can pretty much only eat white rice/crackers/bread

I have not vomited, but I feel sick almost all of the time. I am so frustrated (did I already say that?!)

Are you still feeling this way?

So sorry that you are feeling so poorly, but I am glad you found us! Sometimes just knowing we aren't the only ones feeling a certain way is helpful.

Here is some information about nausea that you may not have read yet...

You did mention that you aren't vomiting, but the info still may shed some light on what's going on.

Please visit often and of course, let us know what is determined at that Dr. visit on Monday, OK?

I am guessing your symptoms could be from a lot of things but I had similar symptoms due to my gall bladder. I was very nauseous but I felt like I had to keep something on my stomach all of the time. It is weird but even though the gall bladder is lower right abdomen, my pain was in the middle of my back. I had several attacks before they finally blamed it on my gall bladder. The attacks were awful -- i would wake up in the middle of the night shivering, get bad diarrhea and nausea. Oddly though eating is what would help and still does help. Have them check your gall bladder to rule it out at least via hidascan as I did not have gall stones.
