I have been having abdominal pain for about 2 months. I have been seeing a specialist and they have done lots of tests and after a CAT Scan they found some inflammation in my small bowel. They believed it was Chron's, but after a small bowel series and a blood test which came back normal, I am without no explanation for my disorder or pain. Any ideas, as I am still suffering daily with little relief???

Thanks for the update. I have read so much on abdominal pain lately, I am as familar as a doctor, ha ha. Anyways, I go back to the specialist this Thursday, so he definitely has not given up on me yet. I've begun a diary of pain and diet to see if maybe the pain is associated with something in my diet.

After a year and a half of increasing abdominal pain, and every test in the book (CT scans, endoscopy, colonoscopy...) my 22 year old daughter recently had laparoscopic surgery to determine if she had endometriosis; bingo! She had numerous spots and adhesions which caused much of the pain. It can apparently only be definitively diagnosed through the laparoscopic surgery. The surgeon cauterized as many places as were possible, and we'll see how much it helps. You may want to consider this as a possible diagnosis, particularly if you are a young woman of childbearing age. Good luck.
