I'm a 20yrold female and I've had stomach pains for as long as I can remember. When I was little I usually had to lay down on my right side in a ball after meals (mainly dinner) and cry because my stomach would hurt. I'd use the rest room and then lay back down trying to breath deeply until the pain went away. Twice a year, oddly around fall and spring time pretty much always about 6months apart I would wake up in the middle of the night with sever stomach pains. I'd be up for a few hours crying and it wouldn't go away until I threw up a few times. This continued until I was 16 when in august I came down with gallstones and then 7months later in March my appendix ruptured. Since then I don't wake up twice a year. However I still have stomach pains randomly thought the day or when I eat or have any alcohol. I actually hardly drink (I am only 20!) and I really never get drunk yet the next day I'll just be in a ton of pain.
I know I have acid reflux which mainly affects me at night and I take my pills regularly. I can tell the difference in the morning when I take them or not. I was wondering if anyone else has had this same problem or has known someone who has and if it's just something they/you had to deal with or if it could be something more. Considering it's been my whole life and nothing TOO major has happened I kind of think I'm just stuck with a sensitive stomach.

Having stomach pain and issues for as long as you can remember doesn't sound right and I am curious as to what treatments and tests have been done. Growing up, you had to see doctor's for exams before certain school periods...did you ever mention your discomfort at these exams? I know that many Drs. dismiss kids and think they are just trying to get out of school, homework, etc., but surely your parents had you checked out?
The gallstones and ruptured appendix were probably just coincidence and would have happened even without your history of stomach pain.

<I can't help but hone in on the part about it hurting after you eat.
