My dh has the following symptoms...he had shortness of breath and tightness in his chest. He had a bunch of tests done to rule out his heart..everything came back normal. They are saying he is probably haveing severe stress and then also the gallbladder. They are going by the hida scan results from 2 years ago. The results we were told said he needed to have his gallbladder removed because it was sluggish. He didn't believe it was his gallbladder. His symptoms at the time were when he ate he felt like he had eaten a five cousse meal. If he didn't eat he still felt that way and his stomach would go down the next day. These are the same symptoms he is having with that. As far as the other symptoms of heart problems...they are blaming it on gallbladder. I know that the gb can cause those symptoms.. He has no pain I don't understand why they are not checking into another problem rather than blaming gall bladder unless gallbladders can do this. I just need some proof that this is the problem. By the way, he has an appt with the surgeon on Tuesday thanks to family doctor.

What other tests would you suggest the doctors do? Here is some information about the gallbladder and symptoms; maybe this will help....

Yes, Gallbladder can cause heart attack symptoms. The thing is he has had very little chest pain. Main complaint being shortness of breath and tightness in chest. All tests including catherization proved no heart problems. I read the info you directed me to but I can't seem to find anything on sluggish gall bladder only gb with stones.

I had my gall bladder removed in December. I had a low performing gall bladder. Prior to the surgery, I would have symptoms similar to a panic attack (increased heart rate, shortness of breath, back pain etc.) prior to a gall bladder attack. My doctor treated me with an anti-depressant initially to lessen these symptoms? Maybe this is what is going on? BTW - I became very sick from the sluggish gall bladder to the point that I couldn't eat much yet couldn't let my stomach get empty.

No I have never had them tell me my gallbladder was sluggish. I have had them tell me we going remove your gallbladder cause you have gallstones. I have not had my gallbladder since 2001. Try not to eat fried or fatty foods ok it will help you.

I know that I'm coming in late in this conversation, but I have been searching for a place to talk about this and poof, here it is. A day late and a dollar short, but if someone happens to come across this, maybe some of my input will help too.

Welcome jaxkipi68!

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but my computer crashed 10/10 and it has taken me a while to get and learn how to navigate a computer again!

What has been done? Have you found a doctor that agreed to remove your gallbladder? Here is some info that you might find helpful...
