HI. i'M NEW TO THIS BOARD. I'VE BEEN HAVING NASEAU AND VOMITING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW. I'VE NEVER HAD BEFORE IN MY LIFE. I WENT TO MY INTERNIST. HE DID BLOOD TESTS, WHICH CAME BACK NORMAL. YET I'M STILL HAVING THESE SYMPTOMS. I NEED TO GET A GI DOC. FOR FURTHER TESTING. JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ON THIS BOARD HAS EVER EXPERIENCED THESE SYMPTOMS. FIRST MY DOC. THOUGHT IT COULD BE MY GALLBLADDER OR LIVER OR ELECTROLYTES, BUT BLOOD TESTS RULED THOSE OUT. READING ONLNIE MAKES ME WONDER IF IT CAN BE SOMETHNG EQUALLY BAD. IT'S AN AWFUL FEELING AND I'VE LOST SOME WEIGHT (ONLY GOOD OUTCOME FROM WHOLE THING. I DON'T KNOW HOW BULIMICS DO IT FOR YEARS.) I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE OF U HAS CYCLIC VOMITING, THOUGHT MAYBE THAT COULD BE IT. I'VE PROCRASTINATED GOING TO A GI. HAVE TO DO SO ASAP. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. AND I AM REALLY SORRY FOR ALL OF U EXPERIENCING THESE PROMLEMS. IT'S NOT FUN AT ALLLL.

Welcome, although I am sorry you are feeling so poorly. What did your internist recommend? Is he aware that you are still having these problems?

Definitely make an appointment to see a GI doc soon. There are many things that could be wrong, or it may not be anything too serious, except that your symptoms should be investigated further. No one should be vomiting for months!

BTW, please refrain from using all caps. It appears that you are 'yelling', plus all caps is difficult for many to read.

I was definitely nauseated when I had gall bladder issues. You need to have more test then just blood tests to sort out your gall bladder. The hidascan is the 2nd test that I had which showed my gall bladder wasn't functioning. I lost about 15 pounds before I had my gall bladder removed. You are right -- it is not a fun way to lost weight though. After my surgery, I had to start medication for diarrhea but it beats the nausea.

Thanks for visiting and sharing what helped you. Often folks just need to hear that someone else had a similar issue and can identify with what is being described by them.

I agree that random, infrequent diarrhea is easier to control and live with than constant vomiting!
