Hi. What can i do around the home to reduce risking stomach virus, besides washing my hands? Does plain yogurt and drinking ginger tea help and what are the months in which people are prone catching or is it a year round thing and what can I do during those months if there are any? I'm not around alot of kid and try to stay away from hospitals. Thanks.

Hello, that's a good question!
Washing your hands is probably the best way to prevent harboring germs that you might transfer to your mouth and/or eyes. If it is a virus, there isn't much that the yogurt or ginger tea will do to help, except to sooth your stomach. I also find that taking acidophilus helps to keep the 'friendly bacteria' in charge.
People do seem to get sick with colds, stomach flu, etc., more during the colder months, but that may be due to being in closer proximity to them along with drier, forced air heat.
For a basic upset stomach, here is some information that you may find helpful...
