I made the appointment today.  9 am tomorrow I am starting injects and we are planning on doing an IUI sometime next week.  AHH!  It is a little scary and I hadn’t TRULY made up my mind about the injects until I picked up the mind to call.  As soon as I got off the phone, I started smiling and I haven’t stopped since.  I do think this is exactly the right path to take.  I’m excited.   Thumbs Up

Congratulations on your decision. You seem pretty excited about it, so it must be the right thing to do. Injectibles are a piece of cake....once you get that first one or two over with. Good luck with this cycle!

Hi Rebecca

Looking back you will wonder why you were so hesitant. Before I started IF injectables, I used to faint at the sight of a needle. I now consider myself a pro at it :-) It is much easier and not painful at all... really. Good luck! And keep smiling... it helps!

I can't wait for the day when the testing/diagnosis stage is over and it's time to move on to interventions that are likely to give me a baby. Congratulations on getting there! I am so excited for you!

Rebecca-

Good luck this cycle. I am actually on my first cycle of Inj/IUI. As a matter of fact I had my IUI this morning. I went in on cycle day 3 for bloodwork and started the Gonal-F injections (75 units) from cycle day 4-12..then did the trigger shot on CD13 (Ovidrel) and had an IUI today (CD15). Every few days I was at the office for bloodwork and ultrasound. So...be ready to be at the RE's a lot for monitoring. I have 2 follicles on my right ovary that matured and released today. The shots arent bad. I had really bad anxiety the first time DH gave them to me. But after that I was okay.

I find out if I am preg by the 25th...that's when I am expecting AF. RE told me that by the 27th if I havent started to call them (since I got my period last on the 27th).

If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

Good Luck!

Hey Rebecca!

How are you doing on the injectibles? Did you survive?! Its intimidating at first, but then you get the hang of it =)

Did you do the IUI this past week? Oh hun, I am praying that it works!! Hope you're doing well. Take care!

Rebecca, Good luck with the injects and IUI! Hope this is just the ticket to your BFP. Looking forward to an update- how's it going? I'm starting injects for my IVF cycle in September. I too am excited and optimistic- more aggressive treatment is hopefully going to get us the resukts we want.
