This may be a stupid question but....

My husband and I have been ttc for almost 4 years. I did Clomid and injectibles and finally had a lap done in Feb. of this yr. The dr. found that I had endo in 4 spots, a polyp blocking my right tube and my colon was blocking my left tube (this was after another dr. told me that to have the surgery probably wouldn't find anything that would be hindering my fertility!). He ended up correctly everything and even created a new opening in my one tube.  I ended up having a chemical pregnancy the next month and the month after I conceived by ended up miscarrying 7 weeks later.  My question is this...If my tubes are now open, there is nothing wrong on my husband's end and we are timing intercourse based on ovulation strips what is the missing piece to why I am not conceiving ( I know...20 million dollar question). I just don't understand these people who "weren't even trying" and here we are timing things exactly and nothing!  My husband wonders if there could be scar tissue from the surgery?  Could I not be releasing an egg? I just started a new job so I don't have much flexibility to start treatment again (which probably would help now that my tubes are open-I was doing all that and there was no way my eggs would have even made it down).  I am also leary to get back on that roller coaster ride. I was feeling hopeful since I conceived but now that it's going on 5 months I am wondering if it was just a fluke or because I just had the LAP done.  I am feeling crampy and my cycle is due in 2 days and I am just feeling down that I have to cross yet another month off with no success.  I swear everyone around me is either pregnant or just had a baby. UGG!  As much as I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy sometimes I wish everyone would have to struggle so they'd truly understand how much it's taken for granted that you can conceive.

On a side note I have been reading "Waiting for Daisy" about a woman's journey with infertility and highly recommend it.

Sometimes the tubes don't push the egg through. That is the only thing I can think of. Its what our RE told us. You may be releasing an egg, but the tubes aren't strong enough to push it out.

I do know what its like to start a new job and not have a lot of free time for treatment.

There could still be reasons why you're not getting pregnant.
