ttc again after miscarriage

I am new to this message board. Anyway, My DH and I have been trying to conceive #2 for several months. Our DD was born July 05. SHe was conceived with clomid, estrogen, hcg, progeterone, iui. We were doing the same thing this time around and were lucky on the fouth try only to have a m/c at the 6th week. We were devastated of course. We started ttc again and I feel like all the emotions are coming back. I am scared, depressed, angry and moody. I feel that infertility coupled with the grief of miscarriage is a lot for anyone to handle. Has anyone had to deal with m/c after conceiving through infertility treatments? If so, did you decide to start ttc again and when? How did you handle emotions?

Hi and welcome, jessieangela.
Hello and Welcome jessieangela!
I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss.
Hi Jess – Welcome to the board!!
I can kinda relate to ya though my m/c wasn’t following an IF treatment nor am I am mommy yet – After TTC#1 for 30 cycles naturally, we succeed BFP naturally despite the odds against us (severe MF) – Knowing that all logic and doctors tell you ya can’t get pregnant and you do then ya m/c is just plain mean –it just HURTS!! – I imagine the feelings are somewhat similar with a loss after an IF treatment – Ya expect that egg and sperm have successfully met and that is all that is needed for baby so it is devastating to lose that miracle of life
Take one day at a time to heal – go with your heart!! Don’t rush back into TTC until you are sure you are ready – Even though DH & I officially didn’t stop trying after my m/c we truly were not ‘into’ it until the EDD of our little angel – and talk to each other! Don’t hold back – it is hard but ya gotta let your feelings out – You have to release your stress and emotions – You are in this together!
As DH & I are now that the 4.5year mark of TCC#1 we actually have turned to an IF specialist and my fears are real – I just fear that the worst can happen again but I have to stand above it – I can’t let it consume me and these new doctors are confident they can help us – IF treatments give us better odds of achieving BFP no matter which option we choose (all treatments are better then the 1% chance we are ‘tagged’ with) There is a reason that I haven’t given up trying to be a mom and deep down in my heart I know I WILL BE A MOMMY!
