I am new to this board, but not to fertility issues. I am 31, soon to be 32, and I have a DS who is 6. Before I got pregnant with my son, I had a tubal pregnancy, which resulted with the loss of my right fallopian tube. A few months later, I suffered another miscarriage at 8 weeks. Then finally, a few more months later we found out we were pregnant with our DS. My DH and I have been trying to conceive our 2nd child since our DS was 18 months old. We have had one miscarriage, about 3 years ago, but nothing since. We have seen a fertility Dr., who put us on 3 rounds of Clomid, 2 rounds of IUI, which all resulted in BFN's!! The only other option that he suggested was IVF, but I am not ready to go that route quite yet. I just cannot justify forking over $15K with my history of pregnancy loss.
My problem is I only have one fallopian tube. I also have short cycles, which vary from 21-25 days in length. My OBGYN has given me Provera to help with the shortened cycle, but it only seems to help for that month only. The next month results in another shortened cycle and more disappointment.
I just wanted to hear from you others to see if any of you share either of these problems, and if so what suggestions you have been given. I really want to hear what others have tried to see if there is anything else that we can try. We were able to get pregnant with just the one fallopian tube when my cycle days were normal. I am really hoping to get that under control and somewhat back to normal. I think that fixing that would work wonders.
Thanking you in advance for any suggestions!!
