Caffeine study?

Hi all, Did any of you hear on the news the other night about the caffeine study they just released? They said it could double the chance of mc and they also mentioned it is best for women ttc to cut it out completely. I'm a long-time caffeine addict (not real heavy use compared to some but very addicted to my 3-4 cups a day). I cut down to just one caffenated drink a day this past August. Dh has done the same. My Re says up to 3 cups a day are ok when ttc but it should be cut out completely when pg.
I was just curious about what your re's have told you about this issue. I know they still have a lot to learn about the link between caffeine and fertility.
Btw, doesn't it just kill you sometimes how we get so obsessed with these details when we're ttc? I worked in foster care and adoptions for years and I can't tell you how many women I worked with who conceived while they were on all types of drugs! Concern about caffeine wasn't even on their radar! Oh, the irony...

(I need to work on one those cute signatures like you all have!!)

Yes, I read the article about the caffeine consumption, too!
Hi!
I, too, have heard about this new study. I find it interesting how it seems that just recently drs were saying that 1-2 cups a day is okay while you're pg, and now, come to find out, they've been incorrect in giving this advice. (My sil's dr even told her it's okay to have an occasional glass of wine!!) While ttc #1 and while pg, I cut it out completely. (While ttc, though, I would let myself have a cup or 2 day 1 AF) I figured better safe than sorry. During my last trimester, though, I craved chocolate so badly I couldn't stand it, so I indulged then. There are still pg women walking around where I work drinking diet sodas (something else I think is not wise with all the chemicals).
You never know how what you put into your body will affect your baby. With an increase in autism and ADHD, it's scary.
