I was wondering what is a positive Beta #? And if it is higher or lower are you more or less positive?
thanks

I don't know what a "good" first beta # is but I think the key is that it goes up significantly two days later. My first beta is
Transfered two. Froze 4.
I have a great team at my clinic and I was curious for you so I gave them a call. The nurse told me that if you did insemination any number about 10 is positive but low (they have no way of knowing exactly when the fertilization took place) so they would have you come back to see again in two day to see if numbers are still going up. As long as they are going up it is a good sign.
If you did IVF then any number over 100 is positive after 16 days. They say with IVF it is more definitive because they know exactly when fertilization took place.
She also said that if your # is very high after 16 days with IVF it most likely represents multiples.
At our clinic once you have a positive blood test they have you come back after two weeks to do a viability ultra sound. If all is good and you did insemination you are transfered to OB and if you did IVF you are followed for the first 11 weeks by the clinic as well as your OB.
Good luck tomorrow.
