Hello~My name is Kim I am 33 and Dh is 32, we have one dd concieved through infertility treatments and are ttc#2. I came here looking for support and info about anovulatory cycles. Ovulation is not my strong point, I took clomid and O'd once then the second round no O, now on 100mg still no O on cd 15 and my follicles are still <10. I am not new to ttc, we have been ttc #2 for almost 2 years, again. It took us that long with the first but I know more now than I did then. I came here feeling sorry for myself, I got bad news today at an u/s-my follicles were not growing fast enough. The likelyhood of O this month is slim for me. I see that there are some familiar stories out there and many of you have been ttc for much longer than I have. We consider ourselves fortunate to have our dd and I never thought it would be harder the second time around. I have given support to people saying the same things and I just can't seem to feel happy right now.
I have been researching things to take herbally to help stimulate O for me yet this month. Most things say not to take it with medical treatments. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions, I am willing to do almost anything. I just feel sad today, so if you read all of my rambling, I commend you...thanks for "listening"

Hello Kimberly,
Welcome to the board! You have a very beautiful DD.

Hi Kim,
I just joined the message board in January and there are so many ladies here that are going through the same situation and offer such great support. It's comforting knowing that I am not the only one going through this.
Has your primary care doctor or OBGYN checked your thyroid? My DH and I began TTC about 3 1/2 years ago and after a year or so of trying I finally went and saw my OBGYN. They did a blood test to see if I was ovulating, I wasn't so they tested my thyroid. It turns out that I have a low thyroid which was causing me not to O. They had me on thyroid medication for a few months then tested me again to see if I was ovulating, and I was. I'm not big on taking medication, but I figure it will be worth it in the long run.
Now our problem is my DH's low sperm count. He started taking Fertility Blend a couple of months ago (not as often as he should). I was going to order some for myself but I also saw that you shouldn't take it with other fertility medication. At that time we were doing IUI (5 failed attempts) so I didn't want to risk it. Now we are going to the chiropractor and acupuncturist to see if that will work before going to IVF.
I hope this helped. Good luck to you! Sam

A friend of mine has PCOS and we often joke that our rotten eggs just won't cooperate.

I'm also trying acupuncture. Hopefully it will help.
