Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and reach out for some support. I've been trying to conceive for a year and a half now with no luck. Here's my story...After three months I was diagnosed with PCOS. I am unable to take the metamorphin because of an immune disorder. I tried clomid for three months working my way up to 200mg, then we tried letrozol (sp?), but neither induced ovulation. Last month we started with the gonal-f injectables, an hcg trigger shot, and then IUI. Unfortunately my aunt flow arrived last week, and yesterday I found out I have residual cysts from the last cycle. Now I'm back on birth control for at least a month before we can try anything else. To say that I am discouraged would be an understatement. We had to take out a small loan to have enough money for the injectable process, since it's not covered by my insurance, and if this doesn't work after three attempts my doctor says I'll have to move on to IVF, which we cannot afford. Also, I'm terrified of having a misscarriage since women with PCOS are at high risk. I know that I sound all "gloom and doom", and my DH keeps telling me to stay positive, but right now I'm finding more and more difficult. Any support or advice I can get will be greatly appreciated. I just need some sympathetic shoulders to cry on.
Thanks, C.A. in Oregon
