Embryo Question...

Hi everyone...new to the board!

My husband and I cannot have our own children...I had my uterus removed several years ago, but still have my ovaries. We want to freeze my eggs until we are ready to use a surrogate and I'm just wondering, does anyone know the process of doing this? How to get started, what to do? We want to actually freeze embryos now and that way, once ready to have them implanted into a surrogate, we're ready and don't have to be overwhelmed by every process.

Can someone tell me if they have had this experience or know where the starting point would be?

Thanks so much!

I think the first place to start is to see an RE (reproductive endocrinologist) .

hi!

the first step is definitely seeing an re. from what i've been told, there is not much success yet with freezing eggs, but they can freeze embryos and sperm no problem, so you'd create embryos and freeze them.

good luck!
