34 year old VIRGIN

So, on October 11th my husbands brother got married! He married a 34 year old VIRGIN and called to announce today that he had gotten her pregnant on their honeymoon! WHAT?! SERIOUSLY?!!!? So, they have just barely been married a month and POW! We've been trying to get pregnant for 3.5 years and BOOM, they are pregnant just like that! HOW FRUSTRATING! Spent an hour crying to my husband, how it isn't fair!!!!!!!!!

P.S. We have MFI for now that we know of and testing for me is next on the agenda!!!

I love the way the Universe gets a kick out of things sometimes.

How unfair! But! You should switch it around and remember everything you are grateful for...like, for example, instead of seeing the past 3.5 years as childless and heartbreaking, think of that as "you" time for you and your DH. That's something your BIL and his wife will NEVER get now!!

Thanks! I just wish it didn't all come at once. Just this week my best friend found out she was pregnant after having IVF done (which I was totally happy for her and not jealous) But still...depressing all the same! :-( And,

Awful, but think of all the good sex you've surely had and think that she just started knowing the pleasure of it but now that there's a baby on the way she won't be having lots of it for the first few months at least.

Photobucket34 years old, Dh is 38; TTC 14 months. DX - hormonal irregularities but was told by two REs that I will get pg one day soon; did 3 Clomid-IUI cycles- #1 BFN; #2 chemical pregnancy; #3 BFP but lost it immediately. Now doing acupuncture and herbs for a natural, unmedicated cycle, but I am taking lots of supplementation including estrogen in a patch, progesterone suppositories, prescription folic acid and baby aspirin.

I will repeat what Jessica said. When me and DH married I came with a child, we had no us time. Now my son has moved out and although I wish we could have gotten pg 3 yrs ago it's really been good to have US time.

UGH... so frustrating!!! (I wonder if they even had all that much fun getting there, given that it was all brand new for her?!)

Hang in there... I hope your BFP happens very soon!

KJ (32) & DH (39) PCOS Dx 3/04, confirmed 6/08 Off BCP since 12/07; irregular cycles (42-96 days long) Ovulated right off pill 1/08, but likely no O since (possible unsuitable O?)

(8/08): Clomid 100mg round; NO O; Cannot take Clomid again due to visual s/e

(10/08): Follistim 75; MANY follicles developing all at once after a week; RE suggests converting cycle to IVF.

Mom to Silas Walker, born July 2009, thanks to IVF. :)

I totally understand your frustration!

My DH's roommate in Iraq got married in on leave in March and bam! she was pg on the honeymoon! The baby's due in 2 weeks and he won't even be home to see the birth. This peeves me but my DH pointed out (like Kristy) did that he wouldn't trade places with them in a million years as they never had any time to be married without children. They are also much younger (early 20s) and now their freedom has been severely curtailed. At least, you will never have that stress. I wouldn't want to be a parent without knowing how to be a partner first.

Welcome to the board!

Thanks all for the support! I really need it at this present time! It's nice to be able to relate to so many different and amazing women! I can't wait to get the chance to get to know all of you better! With so much going on in my life and having gone through a 15 month deployment to Iraq (my husband, not me)
