My fiance and I went to his work Chirstmas supper last week and his one of his co-worker's wife was there. They just had a baby. The other co-worker, his wife was at home sick, because she is 5 months pregnant.
Well, all that they did was talk about being pregnant, and complaining about all the problems that come with it. The wife that was there, all she would talk about was her baby and the hassle he is and how she is having to work-out really hard to get her body back. Then, the CEO said to me, "oh you will know once you get pregnant." Everyone else at the table fell silent, because they all know, which caused it to be even more awkward, and I could feel tears forming and a huge lump in my throat. Luckily, the wine was being paid for so I started ordering $15 dollars a glass after that. LoL.
The thing is, I don't mind people talking about their pregnancies, babies, etc. I'm a proud Auntie to 4 wonderful children that I see several times a week and I spoil them rotten. But what I don't like is when people, who know that you have had several miscarriages and cannot carry to term, complain about being pregnant and babies, knowing everything that we have gone through.
I don't want to sound selfish, but it was a very difficult evening considering that the topic was on nothing but babies and pregnancies.
Okay, my rant is done. LoL.
