IUI #5 = BFN

So, IUI #5 was a bust. I wasn't so shocked when AF showed up today though. I POAS on Sunday just to get it out of my system. I knew it wouldn't be positive. But, I had a baby shower to go to that day, so I figured since I'd already be depressed I might as well get my money's worth. To be honest, I just feel sort of numb at this point. I'm not at all surprised I'm not pregnant and I really am not sure if it will ever happen.

The baby shower on Sunday was fun though. My friend brought her newborn baby and there were five extremely pregnant women there-- not including the one who the shower was for! I really couldn't believe it! I thought it was bad enough when we went back to work on Friday (meetings only, no students) that two teachers brought their babies that were born this spring. Really? Can't I escape this somewhere?!?!

Anyway, I was planning on doing injectables with this cycle, but I'm not going to be able to. My clinic requires that I attend a one hour class on how to mix and administer the injection. This class is given once or twice a week but only at 9am and 2pm. So, basically I would have to take a half day off of work for someone to teach me something that would basically take five minutes for a nurse to explain one on one. Grrrr... I can't miss school this early in the year. I'm already going to have to take time off for the next useless IUI, so I don't want to take time off for something unless it is absolutely necessary.

On a more positive note, my first day of school was today and I seem to have a great group of 8th graders... Hopefully they'll stay that way!
