Well I was incorrect that I had 6 follies on Thurs. The RE nurse said "3 on the left & on the right" so I thought that there were 3 on the left & 3 on the right but there were only 3 all together.
Today's US was no better after doubling my stims dosage since Thurs night. My E2 was only at 39 up from 24 on Thurs.
I kind of knew after seeing the US today that this cycle was going to get cancelled. When I finally got my call back it was my RE & not his nurse so right away I knew that wasn't good. He was very apologetic & said we would need to use a different protocol next cycle.
I am at work and I don't want to be here pretending to be miss happy sunshine when all I want to do is go home & cry.
I asked if this is a sign of my ovarian reserve. He said at my CD2 US there were 11 antral/resting follies which is pretty good according to him. My FSH was a 6 which is also a pretty good for my age. So he doesn't understand why I didn't respond well.
Now I have to wait for AF & call then when she arrives and we can still try naturally... yippee friggin dooda!!
So DH & I have figure out what to do next. Do we try again with our own eggs and hope a change in protocol fixes things or do we look into donor eggs, I don't even know right now.

deja vu... this is what happened to me, did he suggest you could continue on and do IUI like I did? I guess it depends on which ovary the follies are if it would be worth it or not? Oh I'm so sorry Nat, I know just how you feel. I was a mess when mine got canceled but I kind of expected it so it made it easier to take.
The good news is 11 antral follies is really good and your FSH level is really great too! Sounds like they just put you in a protocol that isn't the best for you. Just for reference I had 6 follies and my FSH is in the 9's. My RE didn't think it would make sense for me to try another protocol because he had me on the most aggressive one(microdose lupron flare) with the max amount of medications (450 follistim and 2 vials menopur). But it may be worth another shot for you with your own eggs!
