On Friday afternoon I kept feeling little twinges in my lower abdomen so I POAS. The line was darker than the one I had taken before. I didn't say anything to anyone & put it away. I decided not to test again until Sun, DH's b-day.

I woke up early on Sun because I had to go to the bathroom so I POAS and it was a BFP and darker than the one on Fri. When DH woke up I told him. He was excited but said we should wait until the beta Wed to confirm it. A few hours later I passed alot of blood.

I called the RE & the nurse said the progesterone suppositories could be irritating my cervix & could cause spotting. Then gave me the "some women spot thru their whole pregnancy speech". I told her this wasn't spotting it was full blown heavy flow.

I have a call in to the RE now to move up my beta. No point in postponing the inevitable:(

It would have been bad enough to get AF after doing IVF but to finally see those 2 lines makes it a million times worse. I am just devasted. Not to mention I gave DH the worst b-day he has ever had.

Kelly,

I got a call back while at lunch which worked out well since I was able to speak more freely than if I was in my office.

The nurse said that she sees women with bleeding all the time & sometimes

Lauren,

I am always the eternal optimist for everyone else put I am a pessimist when it comes to myself, go figure.

The RE nurse made me feel a little better but I also don't want to hold onto false hope so I am just assuming the worst & would love to be wrong.

Thanks,

Nat

That is a good sign that the test is darker. I completely understand being cautious about letting hope in so I am going to do it for you! I am still keeping up my P&PT's that this will work out!

Awe Nat, my heart is heavy that you are going through all of this....

I will hold out hope for things to work out for you in all of this....I know too well that its easier to be optimistic for others than it is for ourselves.

Faith,

That is so very true. It really is so much easier to be more optimistic for others.

I just wish none of us had to deal with this at all.

I hope you are doing ok:)

Nat, I am so sorry to read this post. And even sorrier that if AF was going to show up that it had to trick you first. I hope that the RE office calls you back soon and you can start to get some answers. They may still do a beta to figure out what happened, or where the numbers were at. Hugs. And hang in there.
