Hi Everyone! I'm new to this discussion board but I've been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years now and I need to vent and find some support from people who understand what this is like!! I have had 1 pregnancy and 1 miscarrige. After my D&C my doctor started me on clomid for my irregular periods...I've been taking clomid 50mg since last October so this is cycle 12!!!! I havn't even had so much as a late period in the last 11 months. I'm 29 and my husband is 28 all the tests they've done keep coming back normal which is good but also frustrating! Soooooo we finally met with a fertility specialist yesterday and they decided to start IUI this month! I'm excited but cautious I don't want to get too excited b/c I know there still isn't a big chance of getting pregnant but atleast they will be monitoring me and I wont have to use those annoying ovulation kits anymore!!!! I have to start going for bld wrk next week! I'm thinking about taking some time off work...this has all been so stressful! I'm booked to have a scope at the end of the month so hopefully I'll get pregnant before that!! *fingers crossed* Anyways if your reading this thanks for listening and please send positive thoughts my way as I will do for alll of you!! :)
Welcome! I am sorry that you have to be here but glad you can find some support. I have not started IUI yet but I am rather new on this journey. I am actually going to see a new RE soon.
Isn't it exciting to be able to be more proactive and try a different avenue? I know that when I went to the first RE I felt so much better knowing I was going to be more closely monitored. I have grown to hate those OPK tests. Those mocking lines and empty circles with no smiley face haunt me.
Hopefully your first IUI will be your last and you will end up with a BFP soon!

I totally understand what you are going through. I have been trying for my first since 2006 and had my first IUI in June. I did get PG but it ended up being ectopic. We are going to try again in November when my doctor clears me. We also have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. It does get frustrating when you don't have a reason why it is taking so long.
