Wow.  Don't even know what to say.  I'm happy for any baby, but 4 is a concept I don't think I can grasp.  4 sacs, 2 of them have yolks in them.  Most likely will end up with twins, very small chance of more than 2.

I don't even know what else to type.  *sigh*  I'm excited and totally freaking out right now!  What are my chances of more than 2??? Anyone else ever had this!??

Wow is right! I don't have any experience with multiples so can't help with the question, but I hope it all works out to just the right amount for you and your family!

I'm 38, DH is 42 and we are TTC #1. We've had 3 unexplained miscarriages and a bout with Asherman's Syndrome but we're determined.

I really hope it works out for the best for you. Fingers crossed.

Just for your edification and that of the other boardies (I think this is really important to mention): IVF is safer than injectibles with IUI for restricting the number of embryos you end up with. With IVF, you and your doctor get to decide exactly how many embryos to implant into your body - you can decide you want only one or no more than two. With IUI, if your body produces say, five eggs, and the sperm meets all of them, there's not much you can do to avoid giving birth to quintuplets except selective reduction (basically an abortion) at 11 weeks. You have much less control with IUI than you do with IVF.

We are meeting for the first time with a RE on the 26th and will likely start IUI next month. I just found out my insurance does not cover this or IVF, do you guys know the approximate cost of both of these?

Me 33, DH 36. TTC since November 2007. Possible miscarriage in January of 2008 (too early for BFP, but all symptoms point to miscarriage). Normal SA in Feb 2009. HSG showed large (50% of uterus) fundal fibroid in Feb 2009. Hysteroscopically removed in March 2009. Tried to concieve naturally until August. Repeat HSG was normal. Currently on 4th month of Clomid...never had a BFP. Will begin IUI in January.
