34th week appoint = Eventful
Wed, 01-27-2010 - 8:55am

On Monday I went to my OB appointment and I was excited because my MIL was with us.  It was the first time she was going to get to here little Ant's HB.  Appointment starts off normal, by asking me how I am doing and I felt great so I said, "GREAT."  The RN then take my BP and it was 148 over 78 (I think 78 is right).  She promptly tells me to lay on my side.  The OB comes in and they re take my BP and it was 132 over 74, still high but better.  I also find out that there was sugar in my urine.  So, my OB wanted me to redo my 3 hr glucose test.

Yesterday I redid my glucose test and got my BP taken again.  I hope none of you have to do it 3 times because each time the solution gets more disgusting.  As for my BP it was 148 over 70.  SO my top # is still high but my bottom # is great.  I am going back friday to get my BP check before the weekend.  I guess part of me is afriad they will put me on work restrictions already.  THis would be terrible because I don't have a lot of leave and I wasn't planning on returning to work till after May 19th.  Now I just have to wait and see how everything goes.

Oh Susan, I hope it all comes out okay with the glucose test and you don't have to go on restriction early. All of this stress probably doesn't help your BP either!

I'll be thinking of you on Friday! P&PT's:)

I'm 38, DH is 42 and we are TTC #1. We've had 3 unexplained miscarriages and a bout with Asherman's Syndrome but we're determined.

I hope everything turns out okay, Susan.

After struggling with infertility, we welcomed our son Noah on March 18, 2010! Formerly a teacher, I am now a breastfeeding, babywearing, stay at home Mom, and I couldn't love it any more!

Susan, hoping they let you stay at work a little longer so you can spend all your time off enjoying your new little guy! Good luck at your next appt and hope that BP is down lower by then.
