Baby Sophia is here. I went in to the hospital on May 30 in the afternoon to start the induction and on May 31st at 11:54 I had her by C section. We are doing awesome! She was 6 pounds 14 ounces.
I found the labor very hard. All the nurses were telling me that when your induced the contractions are more intense. No kidding! It was terrible for me. Not at all the way my friends had described it. I wasnt able to sleep the first night because they got so strong. So I was up walking the hall with DH. The main problem was I wasnt dilating. I only got to 3cm in the end. The DR thought either the baby was too big or I was too small to have her. They also told me she was supposed to be 8 to 9 pounds and she wasnt even 7. Anyway by 10pm on the 31st my DR came to tell me that Sophia was showing signs of distress (She was being monitored the whole time) so the situation was getting scary. Almost 2 hours later she was out and safe, DH was watching her. When I was in recovery (I was supposed to be there for and hour and a half) I made them bring me to my room after half an hour because I was dying to hold her. I had only got to see her for a few minutes during the C section. Ive been kissing her and holding her ever since. She is beautiful! Its so amazing!
We are in love and so proud! She is our perfect little girl! Since Ive been home Ive been trying to BF and sleep. What a challenge for both.
What can I say.... I am in heaven!
