I hope everyone is doing good! I haven't been on-line in forever. I am not sure if I even told everyone Luca Joseph was born May 12th. It was a great labor, but as most of you know, getting there was not easy. I was 8 cm dilated with contractions 2-3 minutes apart by the time I got to the hospital. Pushing didn't require any effort, and Luca just came out! It was really easy. After labor, I got a hematoma and was hospitalized. It absolutely sucked! I had to be away from Luca!

Motherhood is great, but little Luca has one of the worst cases of colic. Mommy just can't seem to get a break! Luca cries for hours and hours. I can't leave the house or even put him down or he will scream bloody murder. It is very hard. I have changed formulas, tried baby zantac, rocked him, swaddled him, patted his butt, etc. Nothing seems to work. This has been going on since about 2.5 weeks, so I have been dealing with it for about 5 weeks. It is difficult when daddy works from 5am to 7pm and Luca does not nap all day. I hope no one else's baby is colicky!!

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing good! I will try to check in when I get a free second....

Hi Maria,

I have been wondering about you and how you've been! Congrats on an easy labor but it sounds like you are paying for it now with in the colic department:(. I hope you find a solution that helps little Luca (love the name) so you can get a break soon.
