I know that this is confusing to all

I can see by some of your posts you are having trouble (and also lack of posting - LOL) The CL's have received a few e-mails today telling us the ivillage is working hard to iron out all the bugs in the system (folders moving, screens not being avail, links not working etc, etc)
Yes this board is really different now and it does take a bit more work to post but I am hoping with a few more days we will all be back up to speed.
Just keep letting us know what is frustrating you and we will pass the word along.

I know there are always bugs to work out with any new pc change...and the outline view does help, but it does seem harder to read the posts (and the font looks smaller..but I could be wrong...I had to get out of the outline view because my eyes were getting really tired) And its harder to find a specific post..it looks like the posts with more responses get bumped to the top of the list.
I do like that you can see the post your responding to as you're typing...anyway, change is usually good. I'm sure they had a reason for converting.

this has probably been already said, but my main complaint about the boards is that I can't see all the posts at one time on the page. I sort of liked to see all the posts (and replies)---it felt like we were all in one big room together "chatting".
This new format (although very organized) makes it seem very impersonal.
It also takes way too much work to post and read replies.
I also like seeing how everyone else replied as that sometimes started another discussion.
Did IVillage do any type of market research to find out if this change was what its customers wanted? Did they test it first? Just asking--my old marketing hat is on.
Thanks
Annette
I don't use the outline view, or any of the other pop up windows, just the main page:
http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppivf
If I log in, it remebers what I have read and if there is a new message, I see it because of the icon under unread messages. Fortuneatly, my PC is moving along pretty quickly, so that isn't a problem either.
I do miss the longer subject line, but I think I can get used to this.

From what I understand the old format was getting overloaded and wasn't going to be able to support the boards mauch longer. Personally I think that iVillage wanted more advertising.
I am working every day to figure out how to get this to work for our group.
Thanks for your comments - CL~Kris
thanks for your reply. I know change is hard! I shall miss the "big board/big picture" format, but we'll all get used to it.
Thanks for being such a great CL.
