Here's my story. Saturday night I went to a party and "hooked up" with a guy. Meaning nothing more than just making out until... I agreed to go to bed with him. Here's the catch. WE NEVER HAD SEX.I was drunk, but I remember we never did it. He did go down on me though. This is why I'm scared. I'm a swimmer and I'm in the water a lot, and lately I've been staying in my wet bathing suit for a while after I get out of the water, which I know isn't good. (could cause infections)But the day after the party I felt sore down there, he handled me down there too so that's why I was sore I'm guessing. Ok so now it's Wednesday and I have a little discharge and my vulva itches slightly but I don't scratch it. These are all signs of an infection but I'm sketchy as to if it's from my hygeinal habits the part few days or it's something he did. His penis was never inside me and my vagina never touched him so it can't be a disease or pregnancy. What is this? I'll wait a few more days to watch what it does, then I'll let my mom know. Need insight.

Most states have laws that doctors can't disclose information to a parent if you request it, and most doctors won't want to get into the middle anyway. So basically the doctor can not legally say or suggest anything to your mother even if she goes to the same doctor.
Bottom line here is that you definitely need to see a doctor. In the mean time I would recommend wearing only cotton, loose fitting underwear and loose clothing and to change out of that wet bathing suit as soon as possible.
You should see a doc and have it checked out. If you don't want your Mom involved you could go to a Planned Parenthood clinic near you. Type your zip into their clinic finder http://www.plannedparenthood.org/Zip.htm PP has a sliding scale of charges so if you are a student or don't make much money you would probably qualify. Let us know how you're doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
I'm glad to know Aunt Flo stopped by. You were lucky that time, but you REALLY should get yourself on an effective method of contraception! Ok? And use condoms too as they are the only thing that will protect you against STIs. Let us know what you are going to use, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
