Sex feels uncomfortable past few months

My question is similar to angel's post from july 9th. I dont have any odor issues or anything, but I do experience some pain.
My bf and I have been together and sleeping together for the past 3 and 1/2 years, and everythings always been fine in that department, until recently. whenever we have sex lately, it seems slightly painful (as if I've shrunk and gotten tighter or something)... and I noticed afterwards that there was itty bitty drops of blood (im guessing hes tearing me slightly)... I've been on birthcontrol for almost 2 years now and we no longer use condoms. And when this first startd happening about 2 months ago I thought I might have been too dry. I especially thought I was drying up due to the allegra-D I'm taking for my allergies. I heard decongestions can dry up all ares of your body. Is that true? I havent lost my sex drive or anything, because even with the slightly uncomfortableness and the tiny blood issue, I am still always in the mood.
Last night we were messing around, and I was definately not dried up or anything, but it still felt slightly uncomfortable when we first started having sex, then I felt better after a minute. But after we were done, I noticed more blood. does anyone have the same problem? Any advice? Please help!!!

Decongestants can definitely make things dryer down there. Are you using a good intimate lube? I use Astroglide and plenty of it at times. Dryness is something you want to correct as it can lead to tears and a greater likelihood of infection and you definitely want to correct it before you begin to associate IC with pain. That is a huge turnoff! At that point it takes a while to get ones confidence back. If you haven't already, it might be a good idea to ask your doctor about your problem and see what s/he says.
Good luck,
