This is just a question out of curiousity...can a home pregnancy test be accurate if taken any time of day (as opposed to first thing in the morning)? I know the urine is extremely concentrated first thing in the morning and all, but I was just curious.

Thank you.

The farther you are along in a pregnancy, I think, the more likely it is to detect a pregnancy at any time. That is because tests have a certain amount of hormone they can detect, and that hormone increases every day of pregnancy. So if you had a test that detected a level of, say, 50, on one day, your first morning urine may have a concentration of 50 but the rest of the day only 25, but then the next day your hormone pretty much doubles so you would have a level at least of 50 all day long.

Hope this helps!
