I'm 19 years and i'm still a virgin.I'm planning to have sex with my boyfriend, but i don't want to use a condom.I've always wanted my first time to be without any kind of protection.I'm thinking about having sex during my safe period which would be about 2-4 days after my period, but i'm a bit worried because i don't want to get pregnant and i would like to know if i could get pregnant during my safe period.
Thanks in advance
Kimmy.

Noooooo!!! Don't even think about doing that!
You are right to be worried. It is possible to get pg by having unprotected IC several days after your period! Unless you have been charting your fertile signs: basal body temperature, cervical position and cervical mucus you won't know when you are fertile and ovulate. That's why the 'Rhythm method' doesn't work. Even if you normally have very regular cycles diet, illness or stress can throw them off. In addition, if you both haven't been tested for sexually transmitted infections condoms are the only method that will protect against them.
If you intend to become sexually active please do the responsible thing and use an effective method of contraception. And if there is any question about STIs, condoms too. No method of contraception is 100% effective except abstinence, but oral contraceptives are close 98-99% if used correctly. The only person who can look out for your sexual health is you! If you don't protect yourself and become pg, have you considered the choices you would be faced with? You might want to visit the iVillage Birth Control board. http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-bhcontracept There you can find out what methods of contraception are available and what their advantages and disadvantages are. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
