Is this normal?

Hi. I don't know how else to ask this, so I'll just go for it... if you were to lift up/open your outer lips, is it normal for there to be very small bumps under the skin on your inner lips and even in the area above your clitoris? I don't know if I've always had them. I'm kind of young and never paid much attention, but I guess I always thought it would be smooth. I'm not sexually active if that helps. Thank you.

Are they little tiny bumps, like when you get goosebumps on your arms? More of just a change in pigmentation with just a tiny bit of actual "bump" to it? I think I've got those.

Any time we notice something strange about our genitalia is a good time to check in with a family doctor or gynecologist, just to make sure that everything is cool. If you call and say "I have these little bumps" they're probably going to want to take a look, because your definition of "little" and someone else's could be totally different.

Your best bet, and probably the fastest way to get rid of some worry, is to make an appointment with your gyn/MD and just make sure that they're totally normal.

Good luck!

Thanks Judie. Yes, they are really tiny. I finally figured out the right thing to Google last night and now I think they're completely normal and called sebaceous glands. I will still check with my doctor in October just to be sure. Thanks again.
