My friend (well more than just a friend I guess, we're in an open relationship) is in physical pain. Her pain resides in her vagina. She describes it as having a needle resting in it, and when she sits down, it pinches her and causes her pain. She went to a doctor at this free clinic, and also someone who worked at her school's health center, but they were of no assistance. She's in pain, and I want to help her, but I don't know anything about this sort of thing. This happened to her during the past summer as well, and from what she says, it was probably caused by intercourse from her then current boyfriend. She did say that she recently used a large dildo, and my feeling is that she may have a tear?

I basically don't know what to do. She's a college student with no money or health insurance, and she's somewhat estranged from her parents. All I can think of is to call as many women as I know about a good gynecologist and taking her to see one.

Hi amazingjason, welcome!

My advice would be that she see a Gyno at a Planned Parenthood clinic near her. They have a means tested scale of charges. The PP Health Center locator is: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/Zip.htm My guess is that she has strained or torn something that may take a while to heal but she definitely needs to have it checked out by a knowledgeable doctor. Thanks for being a caring guy! I hope she is better soon! Let us know how she is doing, ok?

Good luck,
