Hello, I was just wondering if any of you could shed some light on my situation.
I had my IUD (paragard copper iud) removed on Nov. 18, I just had the one day of spotting, no cramping, everything was fine. I O'd two days later, dh and I did have sex, but I am sure I did not get pg, I did 2 hpt's(one after the bleeding stopped).
Anyway, I started my period on time, but the strange thing is that it was pretty light (sorry if tmi, only used a total of 3 tampons) and it only lasted three days, then it just stopped, no spotting, no tapering off, nothing, just gone. It's now cd 6 and I did have very slight spotting this morning, and we did have sex last night. I am just wondering if this may have anything at all to do with having my iud removed? Just curious, I have NEVER had this short of a period. I am 25 and I have three children, and I have been married for 8 years. I will post my chart too. Thank you in advance!

Hi jcovolo, welcome!
If you are used to ParaGard periods (often heavier) then perhaps this will be your regular post-ParaGard period. When did you test? It takes a minimum of 2 weeks after the intercourse of interest for the test to be accurate. Are you trying to conceive or avoid? I don't think we have many members on this board who are familiar with FAM/NFP. You might want to post your chart to our Natural Family Planning board http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppnfp I'm sure someone there can help you with it. Let us know how you're doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
Hi,
Thank you for your reply! I had the iud for 2 years, and yes I was used to the heavy af, but this really was a lot different. I really have never had that short & light of a period even when I first started when I was 12. I am ttc, I did post on a ttc board also. I tested 12 dpo and then the day after my period ended, so on cd 4 (which would have been cd 35,if no af, 16 dpo). Thank you again!!
