I don't know what's wrong

I have a few question to ask. I'm worried that something is wrong and I don't know what it is. I mean for the last two weeks I've been experiencing some sharp pains down by my pelvic region. Two months ago, my pap smear came back abnormal, they said that they found a wart and they found immflammation in my cervix. They told me it can lead to herpes or cervical cancer now my appointment was in Nov. 04 and they appointed me in Jan. 05, I don't know why they did that because this could be serious. But I was wondering after all of this is it safe to have sex? I don't think so due to the fact, I can't completely enjoy it and I spot afterward, which I didn't know that was bad until I read it somewhere. I don't know what to do? I truly believe that I won't be able to have or enjoy sex ever again.

Hi hersheykiss0183, welcome!
Your doctor didn't tell you anything when your test came back? Hon, if I were you I'd talk with my doctor and ask exactly what's wrong, what the growth is and if it's safe to have sex. Your doctor may have to do more tests before s/he knows exactly how to treat the condition but should be able to give you guidance about your sexual needs. It's probably ok for you to have sex but unless you know the growth is just a nodule unrelated to your abnormal smear then it's probably best for your partner to wear a condom. The condition that caused your abnormal pap can often be easily treated if it is found early enough. Good luck,
