pain after ejaculation

Hi everyone-
Here is my issue. Recently my husband and I have started having sex without a condom. This is the first time that we have been doing this in our relationship. Right after he ejaculates I have this intense burning. My first reaction was that I wasn't lubricated enough and between the friction and the high acidity in the semen was causing the pain. I have to shower right after sex and it burns for about a half hour to and hour after. I'm in the process of changing gyno's so I can ask them whats going on. Anyone experence anything like this?
thanks,
Moxie

Hi Moxie, welcome back!
We haven't seen you posting in a while... How have you been?
Just to rule out coincidence, have you tried using a condom again and did the problem go away? You are using plenty of lube right? If so, it certainly seems as though you might be allergic to something in his semen. I would think, with his natural lube and yours you should be wetter than when you were using condoms. There have been reports that hormonal contraceptives may make the vaginal tissues and cervix more susceptible to irritation. Having a borderline allergic reaction to your partner’s sperm is a remote possibility as well. For more on sperm allergy see: http://www.ivillagehealth.com/experts/womens/qas/0,,274664_127812,00.html When you talk with your doctor let us know what s/he says, ok?
Good luck,
