Vaginal noises during sex

Hi
I don't know if I'm posting this question in the right area... I don't recall seeing anything on this topic.

When my partner and I are going at it in the doggie style position, sometimes there are noises which sound similar to farting - I know the neither one of us is actually breaking wind. We really haven't acknowledged these noises and they don't stop us from what we're doing but I find them kind of annoying and embarrassing. What is it and why is it happening? Some background, we are very passionate and energetic with each other, I'm extrememly wet and he is the biggest I've ever been with - I don't know if any of that would contribute to these noices but I wanted to mention it.

Any insights would be greatly appreicated.

Hi katsmeow67, welcome!

What you are referring to is so common that it even has a slang expression: queefing.

During intercourse or other forms of penetrative sex, air is often pushed into the vaginal canal. It then has to come out somehow, often with a sudden gush of air (and an accompanying sound). This "gas" is entirely odorless so there is no reason to be concerned about that aspect. The reality is that it is not only impossible, but unnecessary, to avoid. Almost all women and their partners have had experiences with "vaginal farts" as they are also sometimes known. It does help to have a sense of humor when it happens and DF says it feels good when I queef while he is inside me. Laugh it off and try not to let it interfere with your enjoyment. I seem to have this occur more often when I’m taken from behind or if we are using a female condom in missionary. Ok?

I’m sorry to take so long to reply but I’ve been without a computer for a week! :( Thanks for posting. Come back and see us, ok?

Take care,

there is a slang word for vaginal noises during sex, but it's too silly sounding for me to post, lol. it's perfectly normal, and the best thing to do when it happens is to laugh it off or joke about it later. this eases the tention or embarrassment you might feel. try tightening your pelvic muscles, like when you stop urination midstream, while you're having sex in that position. This might minimize the sounds by tightening things. Unfortunately you won't be able to enjoy the sex as much because you will be concentrating on tightening your muscles. You can also try tightening your pelvic muscles throughout the day, before sex. This is called Kegel exercises.
