Hi celeste1212, welcome!

>>Recently my boyfriend and i were fooling around and he ejaculated on me, as in my genital region. I was wondering if i should be concerned?<<

It is unlikely but technically possible, to become pregnant if semen gets on your genitals when they are wet with fertile cervical mucus which will appear in the few days ahead of when you ovulate. Where were you in your cycle? If you have very regular cycles and were in the first few days or last few days of your cycle you are probably ok.

However, if you were mid-cycle and your labia were wet with fertile cervical mucus and splashed with his ejaculate you might want to consider emergency contraception. EC is most effective if taken within the first 72 hours of the incident of concern and somewhat effective for up to 5 days. For more about EC see the EC site at: http://ec.princeton.edu/ If you decide on EC then the sooner the better. You should talk with your doctor or a Planned Parenthood Health Center near you. To locate a PP Clinic call: 1-800-230-7526. Thanks for posting. Let us know what you decide and how you’re doing, ok?

Good luck, and hugs

Counting from the first day of your period that is what, 9 days? I think that is getting uncomfortably close to mid-cycle... even if you are a 28 day girl.. I think If I were you and seriously trying to avoid pregnancy I'd take EC. Better safe than sorry. If you decide on EC you need to hurry. Let us know what you decide, ok?

Hugs,
