Hey everyone,

My b/f and have a curious question for everyone because we were discussing this over the weekend. My b/f is getting ready to move into a new apt and were planning everything in advance on what and how to move his current things. As the bathroom decoration came up he said that before anything he wanted to scrub the bathtub clean until hes sure theres nothing in it..as in germs or bacteria. He told me that a 3 years ago (before he met me) while he was rooming with another guy, he used his bathtub and a couple of days later he had really bad itching inside and outside his penis along with milky discharge. He had ruled out an STD because before the bathtub incident he hadn't had sex in about 6 months. A few days after his symptoms began, they quickly disapeared without returning ever again. Since then hes had STD tests and HIV tests and hes been cleared without a problem. When we first met, before we even thought about sleeping with eachother, I made him get another STD galore test and all of them are negative. We have been going out for a litle over a year and we have been having unprotected sex. I have been tested 2 times throughout the year and I have been cleared also and I dont have anything.

So anyways, my b/f and I are wondering what couldve those symptoms been??? A simple infection that went away? jock itch??

Thanks to anyone that responds to this!

Hi envyme_79, welcome back!

A milky discharge from the penis can be a symptom of Chlamydia. However, STDs like Chlamydia usually aren't transmitted through contact with bathroom fixtures. It's impossible to say what he was exposed to back then but if you both have had the full range of STD tests and are clean you should be ok. For more on Chlamydia see:

Thanks for posting. I hope you guys enjoy his new apartment!

Take care,
