Hello everone I will get straight to the point, I have orgasmed before but not lately plus vaginal dryness, and becuse of that it is slowly killing my relationship. I fell unfemale becuse I do no enjoy sex and lube irritates that area it is horrible it is taking a toll on my and my boyfriend he fells it is his fault and it is not. I Think it might be because of birth control. Who do i talk to my Family doctor or who? than who thanks if you have any good advice email me rideit369@hotmail.com

Hi aliciat369, welcome!
What birth control are you using? It is quite possible if you are on a hormonal contraceptive it is causing your dryness. Vaginal tissue is very easily torn once you are dry so you should use a good intimate lube before foreplay begins. If you are torn before you use the lube it's too late. Once you start to hurt or even anticipate discomfort it's very difficult to relax enough to become aroused and orgasm. A lubricant such as Astroglide (my fave), Slippery Stuff or K-Y Liquid should work well. Vaginal dryness is a symptom of not enough estrogen so if you are on hormones you might want to think about switching to a pill with more estrogen in it. For short term relief you could talk with your doctor about a topical estrogen cream to relieve some of the dryness. Thanks for posting. Let us know what you decide and how you're doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
>>lube irratates me it is so frustating, do i as my family doctor or a geno doctor? iam on levora <<
You are just using just regular intimate lube right, not 'warming liquid' or anything with a scent? Some women are allergic to that sort of thing.
I think I would start with the doctor who prescribed Levora for you. If you have been on Levora for more than 3 cycles your body should have adjusted to the hormones. Have you discussed your discomfort from vaginal dryness with the doctor who gave you the Rx for Levora? You might want to ask him or her to switch you to something with a different progestin or more estrogen.
If I were to go back on hormones I would try NuvaRing www.nuvaRing.com first. NuvaRing is a soft 2 inch diameter plastic ring that continuously releases hormones when worn in your vagina for three weeks. It is removed for a week for your period. NuvaRing can be worn continuously for up to 4 weeks with no decrease in your protection so it is really easy to reschedule your periods when using the ring. And, NuvaRing has the lowest daily dose (15mcg) of estrogen of any combined method available in the U.S. so side effects are less likely.
I hope you find a pill or method that won’t make you so dry and will work well for you. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
Good luck
Jill
