Late period

Hi,

I'm going on three weeks late for my period, which are usually clockwork. I've taken two pregnancy tests a week apart and both were negative. We used the withdrawl method and he never came inside of me. Should I be concerned or just wait it out?

Thanks.

Hi veronikarae, welcome!

If you tested at least 2 weeks after the day of concern or after Aunt Flo was late the tests should be accurate. Since you are cycling naturally there are a lot of things that can delay ovulation and therefore your period. Things such as illness, stress or diet among others will cause delayed ovulation. I think you are probably ok but if AF doesn't show up and you miss a second period you should see your doctor. I'm not a fan of withdrawal as a method because for most couples it takes too much skill and discipline by the male partner for it to be effective. If an unintended pregnancy would be a disaster for you right now you might want to try another method of birth control. On the Birth Control board (the link is on my signature) we can help you find a method that will be right for you. Thanks for posting. Let us know when AF arrives and how you're doing, ok?

Good luck,
